Our Verdict:
From most customer reviews, the Canon VIXIA HF200 works best on outdoor daytime conditions. The picture quality is at its greatest and it delivers the crisp and sharp colors Canon is known to deliver. Under low light conditions however, the Canon VIXIA HF performance is not so satisfactory. Still, there is a lot to like about this sleek, compact gadget. It features a decent set of manual controls, comes with all the necessary ports and connectivity options including a microphone and a headphone jack. Highest praises goes to its dual memory capability and high storage capacity which gives you the option to record directly into its 32-GB internal flash memory or on a separate memory card. Memory size always matters when you purchase an electronic gadget such as camera, camcorders, MP3s and even cell phones, so among camcorder models, the Canon VIXIA HF200 is definitely tops. |

Customer Feedback-
"I have to say that I'm satisfied with it considering the price you're paying for such a little marvel. The only things I think that can stand to improve are the sharpness of the photos, the low light performance, the capacity of the 809 battery, a wheel for manual focusing and perhaps a larger touch screen instead of the manual controls. Other than those things I can't think of anything else that would enhance this little gem." - Actual User Review - Amazon.com "I highly recommend this camera, but you need the right computer and editing software. Forget the software that comes with it. One additional caution: You'll have to play with the quality level that you shoot in if you plan to send your video to friends and family. Many receiving computers cannot handle very high quality video!" - Actual User Review - Amazon.com "I really like this camera. Really compact and I could carry this in my jacket pocket. Picture quality is good though night time recording is not so good. Still photographs are good and it gives me the control on exposure on shutter speed as well." - Actual User Review - Amazon.com "Video from HF20 is too good. Connected the camera to my 1080p TV, with a $5.00 HDMI cable, I could not believe the video quality. My grip is about the night shots, captured video is too noisy. The still images are also bad in low light" - Actual User Review - Amazon.com |
