Our Verdict:
The Flip UltraHD, 120 minutes (white) has twice the recording capacity and memory of its Mino predecessor. It is quite easy to use but is a little more bulky than the Mino, although operation is still a breeze with its simple one-touch recording and fast power-up. It is a good model for the not so tech savvy user as it does not have complicated user features, yet the output is quite clear and vivid. One downside is that there is no option to upgrade via removable storage in case you would need more that 8 GB in memory capacity. The specs are quite simple: 720p with 30 frames per second recording, 8 GB on-board storage, HDMI output plug, and pretty much nothing else but for an HD camcorder, the UltraHD is cheap and definitely has its pluses for the novice user. It could be the best choice for capturing candid, time-critical recordings. That is why it is a favorite among YouTubers and video bloggers to keep pace with the high definition bandwagon. |
